Success stories of All Artists Making A Living (AAMAL)

These video clips below show the success stories of artists
who worked with Curtis Benzle.

Curtis Benzle in his own words.

"The concept behind the AAMAL / Trifecta program; Making Art, Product Development and Community Teaching is not mine alone. Many successful artists have used this same concept to build their careers. With the AAMAL program, we are only trying to simplify the learning curve by compiling the contents of the three parts into a concise, accessible package---AAMAL. When I meet an artist who has independently developed their own version of the AAMAL/Trifecta program I applaud them and showcase their success in order to encourage others to follow a similar path to a sustainable."

Steve Bush is one such artist!
How did the AAMAL / Trifecta program impact Steve’s career?
"Ok…. so during the recession, I made a living making over-sized flowers. I could not sell any sculpture. I understood the general public thinks these flowers are attractive and the long and short of it is that I sold about seven hundred flowers in all shapes and sizes. Over-sized flowers saved me during impossible times. Flower sales also set up relationships that have turned into serious, commissioned sculpture sales years later. (
Now I am swamped with work from all over the world by staying in the game through using my creative intelligence to design flowers as a means to the future.

Robbin Rawlings is a painter who founded Robbins Rawlings Design. Sales of her gift products have exceeded thirty million dollars. Her products and designs can be found in several national chains, including: Target, Hallmark, Barnes & Noble and Trader Joe’s.

Dori DeCamillis is a painting artist who put the principles of the AAMAL business plan into action. She exhibited her paintings for more than 20 years in several places in the USA, and decided with her husband, Scott Bennett to open the Red Dot Gallery in the Edgewood area of Homewood (Birmingham, Alabama). Teaching art classes gave her a solid foundation to earn a good living as an artist.

When I think about Scout Bennett one word comes to mind -independent.  I have known Scott for a long time and while we discussed parts of the AAMAL program on many occasions, Scott is not one to follow any program.  In true Scott Bennett style, he followed his own path.  That Scott’s path is quite like the AAMAL program is no surprise though.  The AAMAL program is based on what works and Scott understands success.
As much as I admire Scott’s sculpture, his successful teaching and exhibition space at the Red Dot Gallery in Birmingham, AL or his renown as a daylily breeder; my favorite picture of Scott is him fishing.  Independence is about following a path that allows you to be who you want to be whether you call it “Scott’s Way” or the AAMAL Program.

Jennifer Taylor is a very talented painter but more than anything, she is smart and determined. After
taking the AAMAL program with me several years ago, Jennifer did not stop. She built her pet portrait
business to the point she had to turn away clients and dedicated part of her studio to teaching—thus
turning her students into an ever-expanding support network.
I attended a solo exhibition Jennifer was having recently and she told me that all the equestrian themed
paintings in the exhibition we sold---to an old pet portrait customer.
Jennifer is well on her way to building a sustainable career that will allow her to create the art she
believes in. In her words, “Thank you to the AAMAL Program for opening a world of possibilities to me!”,
and thank you Jennifer for make the AAMAL program work.

Lea Gray had everything an artist needs for success before she took the AAMAL program.  She is talented, congenial, intelligent, and motivated.  Lea had everything----except an organized program to follow.  The AAMAL program facilitated the process of charting her course.
It took a few years after taking the course for Lea to put the AAMAL program into action, but once she did, she has not looked back.  With financial support coming from Lea Gray Design and her ever growing social network that is the result of teaching workshops, Lea is installing a steady string of successful exhibitions of her paintings throughout the Central Ohio region and beyond.

Lisa Bare is another artist who is enjoying a successful career by developing her own version of the AAMAL Trifecta program—Making art, Product development and Teaching.  And, typical for success, Lisa has weighted her program to fit her needs, successes and preferences.
Lisa has built her Teaching from occasional workshops and classes to a fixed location, community studio space—Bare Clay in Columbus, Ohio.  On the Bare Clay web site interested students are encouraged to sign up fast as “classes fill very quickly”.
It is wonderful to watch a gifted artist benefit from using her full creative intelligence!  Lisa also continues to create her dazzling artwork.  Making art feeds her soul and inspires her students.

I have known Mike Bonardi for a long time.  As a college student Mike was engaging, energetic and ambitious.  Later, as a college administrator, he refined those same attributes but added order and attention to detail.  And now, as a successful artist and entrepreneur, Mike has taken the best of himself to build a sustainable career.
With great insight, Mike commented; ” So much of my life used to be devoted to making the art I made primarily for myself.  Now I am in better balance.  To generate income, I produce a jewelry line made exclusively from coins.  People love it!  I also teach and share my success with other artists -- it's an ongoing cycle of artists/entrepreneurs perpetuating success by using our full range of intelligence.
