- Week 1: Introduction to the course, history and basics of china painting, common materials and terms, how to use different brushes, and an overview of famous artists.
- Week 2: Preparing and painting the first layer on tiles, bowls, and plates, and firing the first pieces in an electric kiln.
- Week 3: Learning about pens, crayons, decals, painting the second layer on projects, and firing again.
- Week 4: Unpacking and evaluating kiln results, painting a third layer, trying Sumi painting, and another firing round.
- Week 5: Opening the kiln, reviewing results, using lusters, metallics, and texture pastes, painting the fourth layer, and another firing.
- Week 6: Exploring silk screening, final unpacking and evaluation, and learning about safe disposal and making work durable.
